Voorhees Man Critical After Being Struck by Car

Mount Laurel Police are asking for the public's help in conducting their investigation into the accident.

A Voorhees man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 73 Monday night.

According to Mount Laurel Police, Howard L. Krivy, 43, of the unit block of Holly Oak Drive, Voorhees, was crossing the northbound lanes of 73 north of Rogers Walk just before 10 p.m. when a vehicle heading north struck him.

Krivy was taken to Cooper University Hospital by Mount Laurel EMS with severe injuries. He remained in critical but stable condition Friday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman for the hospital.  

Police said the driver of the vehicle was identified as Jay V. Deanikodi, 63, of the 400 block of Poplar Street, Lakehurst.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Traffic Bureau at 856-234-1414, ext. 1565.
