Weather Postpones Moorestown Festival; Town-Wide Yard Sale Still On
Concerns about Tropical Storm Philippe's potential impacts have pushed the Community Health Festival to next month. Here's the forecast.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Community Health Festival in Moorestown has been postponed because of this weekend's forecast. But the Town-Wide Yard Sale — a rain-or-shine event — remains scheduled for Saturday.
Forecasters expect a rainy weekend for New Jersey as Philippe — a tropical storm that was downgraded Friday to a post-tropical cyclone — pushes northward. Showers in the state will end late Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Philippe's projected path takes it far from the Garden State — as of Friday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center expects it to move over New England and Atlantic Canada. But several events around the state have been canceled or postponed because of predicted storms.
