MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that would lead to the arrest of a driver involved in the fatal hit-and-run of a family pet last week, Morris County Crime Stoppers announced.The Morris Plains Police Department is investigating the incident, which occurred May 5 around 11:56 p.m. on West Hanover Avenue near the QuickChek.A family dog died as a result of being struck by an unknown vehicle, authorities said, which continued traveling west on West Hanover Avenue.Anyone with information is asked to call 973-538-4210, or contact Morris County CrimeStoppers at 973-COP-CALL.
