Living History: Montessori Pupils Visit Fosterfields

Tykes learn about farm life in the early 1900s.

Students from the Montessori Children's Academy of Convent Station took a trip back in time Tuesday at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township.

The children, ages 3 to 6, learned firsthand about the lives of farmers in the early 1900s. The students cleaned harnesses, churned butter and fed chickens.

Fosterfields is a 200-acre historic site operated by the Morris County Park Commission that evokes the turn of the 20th century. For more information, click here.
