PHOTOS: Baby Ducks, Mother Rescued From Morris Plains Storm Sewer

It wasn't quite a cat stuck in a tree. This week, fire officials rescued at least eight ducklings and their mama trapped under a roadway.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - It wasn’t quite a cat stuck in a tree.

On Tuesday evening, Morris Plains fire officials rescued at least eight ducklings and their mama trapped in a storm sewer on Mountain Way, the fire department said in a statement.

The rescue took place across from Mountain Way School, according to a review of satellite imagery.

The baby ducks were removed, reunited with their mother and relocated to a safe location, fire officials said.
