Morris County received some of the highest-reported snowfall in New Jersey, with measurements peaking at 30 inches in Mendham.
Here are the measurements in Morris County as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the NWS:

Did Morris County Make History?
Morris County saw 26 inches of snow one day in February 1978 — the county's highest 24-hour total in recorded history, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Perhaps this storm broke the record, but it's "far from a sure thing," according to an operator at the National Weather Service's Mount Holly office.
Here's the issue: when officials gather snowfall records, they typically measure 24-hour periods. But this week's snowstorm has already lasted longer than 24 hours. So weather officials will face some challenges when it comes to measuring where this nor'easter falls in the record books.
Closures
The School District of the Chathams held another virtual day Tuesday, and they might do the same for Wednesday. School officials will communicate a decision by Tuesday evening.
The decision "will depend on total snow amounts, when the snow ends, and whether our staff can clear the snow from all of our parking lots and sidewalks by Wednesday morning," says a note on the district website. "Building principals will communicate school-level scheduling information as necessary."
Chatham Borough closed Borough Hall on Tuesday because of the storm. The borough also delayed trash pickup on Route B until the next collection date Friday.
Chatham Township also kept municipal offices closed Tuesday. Those with township-related issues can reach out to Administrator Bob Hoffman at rhoffmann@chathamtownship.org or Mayor Tracy Ness at Tness@chathamtownship.org.
All of New Jersey's COVID-19 vaccine mega sites, including the regional site in Rockaway, remained closed Tuesday. Anyone with an appointment will get contacted for rescheduling.
