2 Major Road Closures In Morris Twp Monday Morning

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Your commute could get off to a messy start this week, with two major road closures in Morris Township.

Mendam Road is closed in both directions near Lewis Morris Park as of 6 a.m. Drivers should take another route, police said.

The right lane of West Hanover Ave, between Irondale Road and Burnham Road, is closed due to downed telephone poles and power lines as of 3:30 a.m. Verizon and JCP&L are both aware, police said.

Currently, 238 customers are without power in Morris Township.
