2 Morristown Restaurants Named Among Most Expensive Dining Options In N.J.
Where there's steak and wine, there's likely a hefty tab.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – There’s fine dining, and then there’s fine dining.
In New Jersey there’s no lack of options when it comes to the latter, and a recent list published by nj.com shows the 27 most expensive dining options in the Garden State.
Three of those come with Morris County addresses.

The most expensive of the Morris bunch came from The Dining Room at Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen in Morristown at number 13 overall. The report showed the most expensive dish was a $45 dry-aged prime sirloin, and most expensive wine was a bottle of 1985 Chateau L’Angelus Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Bordeaux for $1,200. One can expect dinner to cost about $158.
Just three spots down the list at number 16 was Restaurant Serenade in Chatham, offering French cuisine and a $40 roasted rack of lamb as its most expensive dish. Diners can expect to pay an average of $150 for a meal.

Another Morristown restaurant found its way into the top-20, as Roots Steakhouse appeared with an $85.95, 48-ounce dry-aged Porterhouse for two and a $2,000 bottle of Vin Perdu, Napa ’09. Diners can expect to pay an average of $142.
