With coming in just a few days, we decided today would be a good time to look back on a couple photographic freeze frames from last year's First Night event, to get us further stoked for Morris County's big welcome to 2012.
- We (as in Editor John Dunphy and his friend) did not get to see this performance last year. But, judging from this photo, if we want to go this year, we'll probably want to grab a seat early.
- This lovely lady never broke character, even while being flipped upside down. Leave these sort of moves to the professionals, folks!
- While everyone is thankful for the quick response of emergency services (especially last New Year's Eve, when a bunch of them could be seen on South Street), this is one thing we hope does not make a repeat appearance this year.
- What a better way to mark the passing of one year into the next than with some fireworks (well, maybe a kiss from your sweetheart is better. But, when that's not available ...)? This shot, from our dearly departed Jacob Byk (he went to college) captures the moment when 2010 became a memory.
- Then, well, the fireworks are just background noise!
This trend is excessively dead now, right? Right? Oh, please, say "yes."
