This weekend marks the return of the St. Virgil's Parish Carnival to 250 Speedwell Ave. in Morris Plains. On Friday and Saturday, the festivities run from 6 to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m. Food, games, face painting, a temporary tattoo station, balloon animals, and fun rides will be available to attendees.

Mother’s Day Exhibit Tour

Bring mom and join Curator of Collections Anne Motto on Sunday for an in-depth look at the Morristown Sewing School. Her two-year investigation uncovered this fascinating 1880s initiative by local society ladies to teach over 500 young girls practical sewing skills.

The tour lasts from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m., and there is no need to register.

Comedy Night with Howie Mandel:

Howie Mandel began his career as a standup comedian, and he will be returning to his roots in Morristown this weekend at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC).
