Angry Customers Speak Out On Morristown Wedding Venue Renovation
Several brides-to-be spoke out on social media after local wedding venue The Madison Hotel publically announced renovation plans.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Several brides-to-be spoke out on social media after a local popular hotel publically announced plans to completely renovate one of their reception ballrooms.
The Madison Hotel, located at 1 Convent Road, in Morristown, recently posted on its social media accounts that it will be unveiling its newly updated Glynallynn Ballroom in the early months of 2023.
The only catch is that the new design uses a completely different color scheme, transitioning from a bright display of white and gold to a newer darker tone with dark blue accents, according to photos uploaded by the hotel on their social media pages.

The news of the change came as a complete surprise to all of their customers, with many criticizing the new color palette on social media, but one group, in particular, the future brides, voiced their displeasure.
"Is this how it’s going to look like in February 2023? Really hope not, because I signed the contract for my wedding there and planned the decoration based on how the ballroom looked before," one bride wrote on Facebook.

"Please say this is a joke…no one mentioned black walls when I booked my wedding," another bride wrote on Instagram.
Several members of the public spoke out against the decision to undergo renovations and not disclose plans to couples who had already booked their weddings.
Representatives from The Madison Hotel have yet to respond to Patch's inquiries about the announcement and subsequent public backlash.
One bride who said she visited the facility earlier this fall before signing a $30,000 contract told NJ Advance Media that she felt deceived. "It’s super frustrating because it feels like I was fooled. I feel deceived. They are just literally ripping the carpet out from under us," the bride told the news outlet.
The Madison Hotel was recently named the "Best Wedding Venue" for 2022 in Morris County by Morris/Essex Health/Life Magazine.
