Butler Library Series Helps Seniors Age Healthfully In Morristown
The month-long program is open to anyone 60 or older who lives in Morris County.
BUTLER, NJ — A Butler Library initiative is focused on keeping Morris County's senior citizens healthy and happy.
The program, titled "The Wellness Initiative for Senior Education," runs from Feb. 19 through March 25 at the Butler Library. It is held each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and is free to attend.
According to a statement from Morris County, the training will be provided by the agency Prevention is Key. Participants will:

- Learn about the aging process and how to make healthy lifestyle choices
- Celebrate this stage of life and the benefits that come with it
- Discuss risk factors and behaviors older adults should avoid to stay healthy
- Examine how alcohol, prescription medications and over-the-counter medications affect seniors differently and how they can avoid problems
- Learn how to use simple tools to feel more empowered about health and the healthcare they receive
