MORRISTOWN, NJ — Several Morristown runners will take part in the 2023 Boston Marathon.

Morristown has seven representatives, while Morris Plains has five in the April race, which takes place on Patriots' Day, April 17.

The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.

  • 9:05 a.m.: wheelchair division, women
  • 9:30 a.m.: handcycle and duo participants
  • 9:37 a.m.: professional men
  • 9:47 a.m.: professional women
  • 9:50 a.m. para-athletics divisions
  • 10 a.m.: Wave 1
  • 10:25 a.m.: Wave 2
  • 10:50 a.m.: Wave 3
  • 11:15 a.m.: Wave 4

How to Watch:

  • ESPN will broadcast the 127th Boston Marathon, scheduled to take place on Monday, April 17, on its flagship channel from 8:30 a.m. ET until 1 p.m. ET.
  • In addition, ESPN will also have coverage of the race within SportsCenter before the live coverage and later in the day, as well as coverage appearing on other ESPN shows and platforms.
