Cocaine, Heroin Dealer Arrested In Morristown: Prosecutor

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A cocaine and heroin drug dealer was arrested in Morristown last week, said Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally.
George R. Washington, 61, of Whippany, was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, one count of possession with intent to distribute heroin, two counts of possession of CDS, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, and one count of money laundering.
On May 13, authorities said that Washington was in possession of cocaine and heroin with the intent to distribute.

Investigators then searched Washington’s car, a Morristown address he was affiliated with, and himself, where they found around 65 grams of suspected cocaine and 40 bundles of suspected heroin, said Carroll.
Additionally, police found $800 of suspected drug money as well as several foil folds and plastic baggies that are often used to distribute narcotics, according to authorities.

"The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and our local and county law enforcement partners will continue to work diligently and collaboratively to stop the distribution of dangerous narcotics in our community," Carroll said in a statement. "The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office will continue to dedicate resources to continue these vital investigations. We will not tolerate criminals seeking to profit off the backs of our most vulnerable."
Washington was placed in the Morris County Correctional Facility to await court proceedings.
