The delivery driver, from Denville, was detained for having a $1,000 warrant from the Denville Municipal Court, police said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Florham Park police officer ensured that an UberEats meal order was delivered to a resident last week after the driver was detained for an outstanding warrant.

On Jan. 21, officer Mike Zvolensky stopped a 60-year-old woman on Felch Road after running her license plate and discovering she had a $1,000 traffic warrant out for her arrest in Denville, according to Florham Park police.

The Denville resident was processed and turned over to the Denville Police Department after being arrested at around 8:30 p.m., police said.

As per a post on the police department's Facebook page, it was revealed that at the time of her arrest, she was working as an Uber Eats driver and was en route to make a delivery.

According to the police, Officer Alex Tredy, a fellow officer from the Florham Park Police Department, noticed a meal inside the vehicle during the traffic stop. He took it upon himself to ensure that the Summit Road customers did not go hungry by delivering the dinner directly to them.
