Futbolandia No. 2 Hearing Set for May 30
Special meeting to be held at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.

Those interested in the proposal for a new Futbolandia restaurant at 4 Early St. will want to mark their calendars for 7 p.m. May 30, which has been set for the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Hearing for the proposed property.
The meeting will be held in the council room at .
Last month, members of the Walsh family, which also owns several other bars and restaurants in town–including , and –, which previously had served as a banquet hall that catered primarily to the Hispanic population in that area.

Both those in favor and against the proposal turned out for the meeting to express their feelings on the matter. Those for the plan have said it would be the first true restaurant with a liquor license for the Hispanic population in Morristown, while those against it expressed concern with its proximity to Morristown High School, among other issues.
