MORRISTOWN, NJ — For the third Pi Day in a row, Villa Italian Kitchen is offering whole pizza pies for just $π (that's $3.14, if you prefer it in digits).

Pi Day is celebrated annually on March 14, when the date lines up with the first three digits in the number pi. Bakeries and pizza parlors across the country get in on the action, offering special pricing in honor of Pi Day, including Morristown-based Villa Italian Kitchen.

The restaurant has New Jersey locations in Edison, Blackwood, Newark, Paramus and Tinton Falls. This is the third year that Villa Italian Kitchen is offering the promotion.

In addition to being a fun excuse to eat pizza and other pies, Pi Day celebrates the number itself, which is an important mathematical constant.
