The eatery was founded in 2018 in Washington, DC, by entrepreneur and former college athlete Brianna Keefe, a lifelong health enthusiast who began making smoothies and juice in high school and developed a menu of toasts including her original avocado toast.

Since it began franchising in 2019, the company has expanded to 15 locations, including six in the D.C. metro area, four in Colorado, two in Utah, two in New Jersey and one in Florida.

Menu favorites include the Avocado Smash, which features avocado, marinated tomatoes, watermelon radish, and chili oil on multigrain toast; the Smoked Salmon, which features smoked pastrami salmon, herb cream cheese spread, and thinly sliced cucumbers; and the Three Cheese Italian.
