High School Rager Broken Up By Morris Twp Police

About 75 teens were caught drinking at a giant party in Morris Township over the weekend, police said.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Dozens of teens were caught drinking at a massive high school party over the weekend in Morris Township, police said.

Between 70 and 80 teens were at the Pembroke Place party on Friday, Feb. 23, police said. Some teens ran away from police, but of those police spoke to, 69 were underage and two were 18, police said.

The homeowner, Cesar Quispe, was home at the time of the party, police said, but allegedly told police he was unaware there was a party going on. Quispe was charged with the disorderly person's offense of making property available for underage consumption of alcohol.

Police say the teens were from five different high schools: Morristown High School, Bernardsville High School, Morristown Beard School, Seton Hall Preparatory School and Shepard Preparatory School.

No one was injured and there were no medical emergencies, Morris Township Chief Mark DiCarlo, but that's not always the case when it comes to underage drinking.

"Besides the health risk involving underage drinking and associated offenses, there are usually other social implications which could include educational institution punishment, potential criminal record, and loss of college opportunity," DiCarlo said.

He also cautioned parents against allowing underage drinking in their homes.

"Parents are also reminded that there are criminal as well as potential civil punishments for providing alcohol to minors. Please be responsible and assure our youth are positively influenced and kept safe from potential dangerous situations," DiCarlo said.
