MORRISTOWN, NJ — The remnants of Tropical Storm Ophelia saturated several parts of Morris County over the weekend.

Rain is anticipated to continue into Monday, according to the latest forecasts. Sections of Morris County saw more than four inches of rain this weekend, preliminary National Weather Service data shows.

The most rain in the county fell in Long Valley, with 4.5 inches as of Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Morristown saw 2.64 inches of rainfall this weekend, according to the NWS. Nearby Morris Township got 2.41 inches.

Monday night: A chance of rain, mainly before 2 a.m. Cloudy, with a low of around 53. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.
