Interested in Affordable Housing?

Pre-applications are now available for moderate income units in Morris Township, for those who qualify.

The Housing Partnership, administrative agent for the for-sale income restricted units in the Township of Morris, has announced that they are accepting pre-applications for the interested parties pool for one and two bedroom moderate income “affordable” units in the Township of Morris.

Taxes and condo fees are at a reduced rate for these units. A single person or a couple is eligible to apply for a one-bedroom; a single parent or couple with one or two children of the same sex may submit a pre-application for a twobedroom unit.

Gross Household Income limits are as follows:

1 person - $31,296 to $50,072
2 persons - $35,767 to $57,225
3 persons - $40,338 to $64,378
4 persons - $44,708 to $71,538

Currently there are long lists for all low income units and three bedroom moderate units.

All income restricted units in Morris Township are for sale and require a down payment, good credit and availability of closing cost funds. Eligible applicants must also complete the Partnership’s Step by Step to Home Ownership education program, which includes a one-on-one credit assessment and a goal setting session. If households need to improve credit they can join a year-long financial fitness/savings program prior to applying to purchase a unit.
