Letter: Thanks, Tavern, for Fundraising Help
Susan G. Komen group held event, with support from Tavern off the Green and other businesses.

is a Tavern off the Charts in terms of supporting charities.
This past weekend, they hosted the second annual fundraising event for “Quite a Handful,” a group of women walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Each walker must raise a minimum of $2,300 in order to participate in the 3-Day and without the help of bar owners/sisters Jaime Moore and Michelle Moore, it would be most difficult to achieve our financial goals.
The sisters collectively go out of their way to advertise for the event, gather their friends, patrons and participate themselves in the fundraiser. Since Tavern Off the Green does not serve food, they allow donations of food from local restaurants. This year, the restaurants who donated food for the event were , , Main Street Submarine, , Armenios, Marco Polo and .

Tavern off the Green really looked like Tavern off the Pink this weekend and the bar was decorated in pink and festooned with pink ribbons and balloons. It is the kindness and generous hearts of ladies like Michelle and Jaime, as well as their loyal patrons, who make this world a better place.
We could never thank them enough for opening up their establishment for our fundraiser. We are so grateful that we can now walk in the Philadelphia 3-Day on Oct. 14, 15 and 16, because of the money we raised at Tavern Off the Green!
