Lifelong Morristown Resident, Firefighter, War Vet Dies At 83

Frank Mazzocchi was honored as Volunteer Of The Year by The Seeing Eye.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Frank Mazzocchi will be remembered, and rightfully so, for all he gave back to the Morristown community.

The lifelong Morristown resident and firefighter died recently at the age of 83.

Born in Morristown, Mazzocchi served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an electrical foreman for Honeywell for 43 years.

Mazzocchi volunteered his time with the Mt. Kemble Fire Company of the Morris Township Fire Department as a captain, president, and battalion chief for a total of 62 years. He also volunteered with the Seeing Eye for many years and was a member of their Puppy Training Club, and was honored as Volunteer of the Year.

Mazzocchi was predeceased by his wife, Genoveva, and is survived by a son, a daughter, and one granddaughter.
