Man Found Dead On Railroad Tracks In Morris Co., Investigation Underway
The Morris County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after a body was found along train tracks near West Clinton Street, in Dover.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Local and county police are conducting a death investigation after a man's body was found on the railroad tracks in Dover on Wednesday, authorities said.
Dover Police officers responded to the railroad tracks near West Clinton Street in Dover at 1:56 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26. When they arrived, they discovered the body of the male victim.
The Morris County Prosecutor's Office has not yet released the identity of the victim.

While the circumstances of his death have not been revealed, police have identified a person of interest.
According to Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, the investigation is still active and ongoing, but to protect the integrity of the investigation, no further information will be released at this time.

"There is no perceived threat to the public at this time," Carroll said.
This investigation is being conducted by a number of law enforcement agencies, including members of the Dover Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
