Man Unlawfully Sold Gun To Morris Co. High School Student: Police
Dwayne E. Allen is accused of selling the gun to a Morris Knolls High School student, who then brought it to campus in March.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Burlington County man has been arrested and charged with unlawfully selling a gun that was later brought to Morris Knolls High School.
According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Dwayne E. Allen, 21, of Palmyra, was arrested on May 17 and charged with unlawful sale of a firearm to a juvenile, unlawful possession of a firearm, transport of a firearm, unlawful sale of a high-capacity magazine and unlawful possession of a high-capacity magazine.
On March 24, two Morris Knolls High School students were arrested after school staff discovered they were in possession of a gun.

Denville Police responded to the high school, where the two juveniles and weapon had already been secured by members of the school staff. The two minors involved were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and other related offenses.
According to detectives from the Denville Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office's Homeland Security and Juvenile Units, Allen allegedly sold the firearm to a juvenile in Morris County in March 2023.

There is no known connection between Allen and Morris Knolls High School, Carroll said.
Allen is currently being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility.
