Dog 'Meep' Missing For Over A Month In Morris County, Owners Offering $6K Reward
The rescued Boston terrier needs daily medication. Her owner suspects someone took her Jan. 1, after she got scared by fireworks and ran.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — It's been more than a month since a Morristown family has seen their beloved dog Meep, who was rescued from a puppy mill and has several medical issues.
The Boston terrier ran away after a neighbor set off fireworks early on New Year's Day, and a $6,000 reward is being offered for her safe return — with no questions asked. Meep requires daily medication and only eats a certain type of food, her owner said.
"Meep doesn’t deserve this," owner Summer Sheldrick wrote in a Facebook post. "She deserves to be with her family that raised her this past year and nurtured her back to health. I am begging someone to please speak up."

She and Ryan Hitchcock rescued Meep as a puppy last Feb. 5, and Sheldrick said the time since has been "full of so much growth, joy, and love." Since Meep went missing, she said, she cannot make it through the day without breaking down.
Sheldrick and Hitchcock have posted thousands of flyers near where she went missing from Budd Street, and elsewhere in the area. Meep was last seen on Dorothy Drive.

They hired multiple search dogs, drone services, psychics, and dog rescue groups, and came to the conclusion someone must have taken her, Sheldrick said.
"There has been no trace of her which just doesn’t make sense at all," she said.
The couple is continuing their search, and urging anyone with information to come forward.
"We just want our sweet girl home," Sheldrick said on Friday. "No one will be in trouble."
A GoFundMe page to assist with the cost of finding Meep has raised more than $4,800 as of Friday afternoon.
Anyone with information about Meep's location is asked to call 201-400-4397. Meep has been microchipped and spayed; if she is located, she can be recognized via the microchip.
