Meet Morris County's First Baby Of 2025

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Who would claim the title of the first baby born in Morris County in 2025?

That distinction goes to the daughter of Kalliope and Anthony Caputo, residents of the county. Their baby girl made her debut at 2:39 a.m. on Wednesday, at Morristown Medical Center.

According to the hospital, the baby girl has been named Noa Rose Caputo.

Morristown Medical Center was recently once again named high performing in maternity care by U.S. News & World Report in December. This is the highest honor a hospital can receive, officials said.

U.S. News began evaluating maternity care hospitals in 2021, assessing facilities that offer labor and delivery services and provide detailed data for analysis. For the 2025 edition, a record 817 hospitals submitted maternity data for evaluation.

These public ratings are designed to help expectant parents, in consultation with their doctors, make informed decisions about where to receive care for uncomplicated births.
