Morris Co. Officials Say Vote By Mail Form Not Sent By Them
The mailing was sent by a voter registration advocacy group, not government officials, the Morris Co. Clerk said.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Did you receive a partially completed vote by mail application in your mailbox recently? If so, know that it did not come from government officials, Morris County Clerk Ann Grossi said recently.
The mailing was sent by "Center For Voter Information," a non-partisan group that advocates for voter registration and participation. The mailer says that the recipient has a low voter participation when compared to others, and includes a partially completed vote by mail application. (You can see the mailing below.)
This is not an official government letter, and voters should feel no pressure to complete the form and vote by mail, Grossi said; if you want to vote by mail, however, the form will work. Just fill it out and send it in.

"There may be similar letters from other organizations circulating in the next few weeks. Voters do have the option to complete the application provided and mail it to us but are under no obligation to do so," Grossi said.
The group appears to have sent the letter nationwide. Local media outlets from several states, including Oklahoma, Oregon, Wisconsin and Florida, have reported residents receiving these letters. Officials in those states have issues similar warnings.
