Morris' Own Peter Dinklage Declared 'Stud' by GQ

Delbarton-grad, Mendham-native stars in HBO's "Game of Thrones."

Peter Dinklage has come a long way from his days in Morris County, as a Mendham native and Class of 1987 graduate.

He has even come a long way from the days of being the dimunitive book author that gets riled by Will Ferrell in "Elf" or the former lover of the deceased father in both versions of "Death at a Funeral."

Today, Dinklage, 42, is an Emmy Award-winning lead in the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones," based on the works of fantasy writer George R.R. Martin. And, it's that success that has led him to be named one of GQ Magazine's "Men of the Year" for 2011.

Dubbed a stud in the magazine this month, Dinklage reacts, "I feel as much of a stud as ... I can't come up with a metaphor. That's how lacking in studliness I am," he said in GQ's entry for him, which includes a video.
