UPDATE: Many Boston Marathon Runners from Morristown are OK

Hundreds reported injured in an explosion at Boston Marathon finish Llne, Copley Square area evacuated.

Update:

Families of the 562 New Jersey runners who participated in the Boston Marathon spent a tense Monday awaiting confirmation that their loved ones were not among the more than 100 people injured in two bomb blasts.

There were no reports of injuries to any of the New Jersey contingent as of Monday night.

Dozens of people were injured by two explosions near the Boston Marathon finish line. Boston Police are reporting 22 injured, two dead. A media briefing is scheduled for 4:30 at the Westin Hotel. Keep up to date with this incident with this Patch article. 

Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency confirms there were explosions but has not released any further details. Public Safety blogger Alert New England reported that all ambulances in the area were diverted to the scene.

The area of the finish line is now cordoned off as a crime scene. 

Boston EMS is setting up triage on Boylston, thousands of police and emergency personnel on scene. Anyone looking for a runner is being directed by Boston Police to go to Boston Common.
