Morristown Festival on the Green Returns for 17th Year

The Morristown Festival on the Green returns for its 17th year on Sunday, Oct. 2. The press release is below:

The 17th annual Morristown Festival on the Green will be held around the Green in downtown Morristown from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2.

This fall community event, presented by , attracts up to 50,000 from throughout northern New Jersey to interact and visit with the event’s title sponsors Bayer HealthCare, , and The Star Ledger, about 140 exhibitors ranging from a wide variety of Morristown businesses and famous restaurants, notable Morris County non-profit and civic agencies, and all the event’s sponsors and their special venues.

The Heart of Gold Band will be featured on County College of Morris’ “Main Stage”, Morristown Medical Center’s “Family Stage” will abound with fascinating entertainment, look for cool jazz and swing at Union Center National Bank’s “UCNB Square” on the Green, and all-new “Destination Morris County” venue on Schuyler Place is bringing us 18 cultural and historical sites under one giant tent including special guests General George Washington and Molly Pitcher.

The much anticipated Bayer Speedway Racing Venue returns. Free Kids Rides and a rock-climbing wall will be plentiful on Speedwell Avenue thanks to Bernardsville Volkswagen. Valuable Morristown Gift Certificates will be given away at The Star Ledger booth, beauty makeovers and basket drawings at Department Store’s exhibit, and giveaways and drawings offered at Optimum’s exhibit. Make sure to taste the farm-to-table Modern American cuisine of Blue Morel Restaurant & Wine Bar (formerly Copeland’s), check out the infinite possibilities on how to upgrade your kitchen thanks to Kitchen Magic, and feast your eyes on Toyota of Morristown’s newest fuel-efficient vehicles.

Bayer HealthCare will offer fun and simple science experiments, Daily Record will present valuable deals, Basking Ridge Country Club will introduce you to their family oriented full service club just 10 minutes south of Morristown, and see what the folks from Power Home Remodeling Group can do for you. Finally, free health screenings, massages, and children’s games will be offered at Morristown Medical Center’s space, and come taste CCM’s Hospitality & Culinary Arts Program students’ delicious creations.
