Morristown (Garages) for Sale: Or, Rather, Their Contents

The weather appears like it will cooperate this weekend. So, instead of hunting Craigslist for deals (as we do), consider heading to a few garage sales and Estate Sales in the area. Who knows where that next great deal will be?

1. He Calls Them 'Mantiques:' Is that like "manscaping," "mandible" or "mantastic?" Depends whether or not you're looking for such items as old Seagrams 7 temperature gauges and Packard automobile-branded display racks. The lister will hold a sale Sunday, but does not indicate a location, so you'll need to initiate contact.
2. More Families, More Fun! There will be a multi-family garage sale in Olde Wheatsheaf Farms, in Morris Township, on Saturday and Sunday.
3. Start Your Weekend Early: This Estate Sale, on Burnham Parkway, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. So, maybe you'll want to get out of work early and get started on your shopping.
4. A Little Love From the Plains: This "HUGE (emphasis theirs)" garage sale also will be on Friday and Saturday, over on Fairchild Avenue in Morris Plains. Looking for some bargain clothes? Antiques? Tools? Televisions? Get the goods before the goods are gone.
5. Don't Try to Lowball Them: An estate sale has listed a ton of stuff, from a 19th century bed frame to Franklin Mint collectibles. But, if you think you'll be able to walk away with any of this stuff for a buck, "this is not a thrift store or a dollar store, it is our personal collection, we know what we have and know reasonable value." You've been warned.
