Morristown Garages Open, Free As Town Removes 'Overwhelming' Amount Of Snow

Residents can park free overnight until Saturday morning.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – It was a lot of snow. Like, a lot of snow.

Now, four days after the last flake landed from the blizzard of 2016, Morristown is still digging out and trying to remove ”an overwhelming amount” of snow from city streets and neighborhoods to accommodate street parking, the town said Wednesday.

As a result, in conjunction with the Morristown Parking Authority, the town is opening three parking garages in town each night for the rest of the week for residents to keep their vehicles, free of charge.
