Morristown Man, Who Teaches High School In Nearby County, Faces Child Porn Charges
Axel Palomares, a St. Thomas Aquinas teacher, faces several charges.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A local teacher accused of manufacturing child porn was arrested on Tuesday according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. The accused, 50-year-old Axel Palomares, teaches in Edison at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
According to officials, the investigation began after the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office received a cyber tip from the New Jersey State Police. Detective Ken McGarry of the county’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit led the investigation, resulting in Palomares' arrest.
Palomares was arrested without incident at his home in Morristown, following the execution of a search warrant at that location.

He was charged with the manufacturing of child sexual abuse material, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of child sexual abuse material, and invasion of privacy.
Palomares is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility awaiting court proceedings.
