Morristown Man Arrested After High-Speed I-80 Chase

The chase began in Morristown and traveled along Route 287 and I-80 before ending in an arrest.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Morristown man was arrested after a high-speed chase that began in Morristown, went down I-80 and ended in Knowlton Township, police said.

Marshall Green, 29, was arrested by New Jersey State Police Tuesday afternoon following the multi-highway chase, Morristown Police Capt. Michael Buckley said.

The chase began in Morristown, when police responded to the Midtown Shopping Center parking lot on a report of a man possibly having a seizure. As police officers approached the car, the driver, who police identified as Green, speed away through the parking lot, police said.

Green drove west onto Morris Street, weaving in and out of traffic before merging onto Route 287 north, police said. Morristown Police followed Green onto Route 287, where they were jointed by State Police.

Green was eventually stopped by State Police on Route 80 west near Exit 4, in Knowlton Township.
