Morristown Student Named Among Best Musicians In Morris
David Stein joins 10 peers as honorees.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – David Stein is making the most of his time at Morristown High School, especially when it comes to growing his musical prowess.
The Sophomore tuba players takes part in various groups of the music department, and has been named one of Morris County’s musicians of the month by the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.

David Stein is an outstanding and dedicated student. He has been involved in many aspects of the Music Department and he has become a respected upperclassman to our younger members. David performs on Tuba in the Wind Ensemble and Marching Band and on the Bass Trombone in the Jazz Ensemble. He has also performed in the Solo and Small Ensemble Concert. He has proven by participating in these activities that he can be responsible and manage his time well. David has been selected as the first chair Tubist in the North Jersey Area Band Wind Ensemble 2 years in a row; has been selected for Region 1 Symphonic Band and was one of 6 Tubists from across the country selected to the 2016 National Honor Band of America!
Stein was joined by 10 other students from around Morris County who have excelled in their own horn sections. The group was honored at the Morristown theatre on Thursday, Jan. 7.
