Morristown Students Walk Out On Anniversary Of Parkland Shooting
The walkout marked the first anniversary of the school shooting which killed 17 students and faculty in Parkland, Florida.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown High School students held a walk-out on Valentine's Day to mark the one-year anniversary of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.
Some students walked out around 10:40 a.m., the Morristown Department of Public Safety said. "This solemn act was a way for Morristown students to show their respect and remember the tragic shooting that took place at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida one year ago today," they said.
Police and school administration were aware of the walk-out, and provided security to entire its safety.

Feb. 14 2019 marks one year since a former student killed 17 students and faculty at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In the year since, survivors of the shooting had led a nationwide activist movement, including school walk-outs and a march on Washington, to call for stricter gun laws.
