MORRISTOWN, NJ — A new Burlington store is coming to Morris County, the company announced Thursday.

The major retailer, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, will be opening a location at the nearly completed Morris Marketplace at 191 East Hanover Ave. in Morris Township. The new store will open on Mar. 3, and the first 100 customers, aged 18 and up, will receive a Burlington WOW! Buck to scratch off and reveal a prize amount to be used toward their purchase.

The Morris Township location will bring the retailer’s stores in New Jersey to a total of 45. People seeking to apply for a job can visit the company’s website.

"Our goal is to continue to offer communities low prices on brand name merchandise for the entire family and home," said Michael O’Sullivan, CEO, Burlington Stores. "We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a new store in Morristown. We look forward to giving local customers the chance to discover big savings on a wide range of products."

Burlington officials emphasized the company's commitment to adding value to the communities in which they live and work as a company that cares about their customers and associates.

The retailer will donate $5,000 to a nearby school through their long-standing partnership with the national non-profit organization AdoptAClassroom.org to commemorate the grand opening of their new store location and highlight their ongoing commitment to education.

The funds will be used to provide classroom materials to students at a local high-needs school, allowing them to learn and succeed more effectively.

The donation will be presented to the local school community during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the company said.

The Burlington department store will anchor the 140,000-square-foot strip mall, which will also house a Lidl grocery store, Jersey Mike's Subs, Habit Burger, Starbucks, Taco Bell and Orangetheory Fitness, among other tenants.

On the site of the former Colgate-Palmolive corporate campus, the suburban shopping destination will also include electric car charging stations, play areas for kids, pocket parks, splash pads, seating areas and outdoor dining.

Morris Marketplace, which is located on a 20-acre site, is part of a mixed-use development that spans parts of Morristown and Morris Township.
