New Tenants Revealed At Rockaway's Townsquare Mall

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Three new businesses have recently opened their doors at Rockaway Townsquare, a two-level super-regional shopping mall, according to Simon Property Group.

The three businesses opened on Saturday, Feb. 17 and a special ribbon cutting for all three businesses were held by Rockaway Mayor, Joseph Jackson and four members of the town council.

Lola's, a new restaurant, has opened its first location in Rockaway in collaboration with Cafelombia, a Columbian bakery. Lola's serves a wide variety of Mexican dishes as well as Cafelombia bakery items.

Tango Latin Asian Fusion, a brand-new Latin and Asian fusion fast-food restaurant, is another new addition to the food court area. Tango is originally from Puerto Rico and will be visiting the continental United States for the first time, according to officials.

Kawaii Gifts, located on the lower level of the mall across from Yankee Candle, is also now open. the novelty gift shop is the latest entertainment concept with more than 20 arcade-style crane machines. It also features an Asian-inspired market with gifts for all.

“We are so excited to introduce Lola’s, Tango, and Kawaii Gifts to Rockaway and Morris County,” said Jen Rabulan-Bertram, Director of Marketing and Business Development. “These concepts reflect the diversity of our community and will resonate with shoppers. Each of these new businesses brings fresh flavors and excitement to the center.”

Simon opened both Rockaway Townsquare and The Shops at Riverside in 1977.

Rockaway Townsquare is located at 301 Mt Hope Avenue in Rockaway. According to Simon's representatives, the mall, which houses more than 140 stores, has a customer base that extends all the way from Morris County to other surrounding areas.
