The officer worked quickly to save the life of a choking six-week-old baby girl.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — A Florham Park police officer was recognized with a special life saving award for saving the life of a choking infant in girl.
Officer Jared Orgel was presented with the award at last night's Borough Council meeting in recognition of his efforts on June 6, 2018. The baby girl's grandparents were in attendance for the emotional ceremony.
Orgel and fellow officers Detective Sergeant Brian Ford and Officer Michael Zvolensky were called to a borough home after a six-week-old baby girl stopped breathing. When they arrived at the home, the mother was attempting to preform chest compressions, police said. The baby was turning a bluish color.
