Power Outages Strike Across Morris County
Residents in multiple towns throughout Morris County reported outages Friday afternoon, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — JCP&L is reporting a large power outage wave throughout Morris County on Friday as stormy weather and high winds continue to strike the area.
According to JCP&L, the outage is affecting 4,352 customers in various towns across Morris County as of 4:50 p.m. The estimated restoration time is approximately 7:30 p.m.

An alert from the Morris County Office of Emergency Management warns residents of a strong Arctic cold front that is moving through the area, bringing strong gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph.
Temperatures will drop rapidly, as much as 15 to 20 degrees in just a few hours, and will drop below freezing by tonight, with wind chills in the single digits to around 10 degrees.

If you go outside, be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions and dress appropriately. Another concern is that any standing water may turn to black ice late this afternoon or early this evening.
