An article in The New York Times examines the expanding popularity of farmers markets, which grew nationally by over 1,000 this year. In this area alone, there are options aplenty for those who want to eat fresh. But, some, like the owners of Stony Hill Gardens and Farm Market in Chester, are reporting a need to cut back on the number of markets they attend, because the profits vs. costs of getting there just are not adding up.
