Question/Poll: How Often Do You Not Use Your Car?
Morristown may have the most mass-transit users, but we also have a lot of cars.

Morristown is a nice place to go for a walk. It's not even that bad for taking public transportation.
First, we have the Colonial Coach, which can get you pretty much anywhere you need to go in Morristown, for free, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Then, there's the train station, conveniently located on Morris Street.

Then, there's the bus. We were a little hesitant to use this, as suburban mass transit has always been a bit unreliable in where it takes you, how long it takes you, how it takes to get to you, etc. But, when Morristown Patch's "Patch Mobile" was laid up the other week, we took the bus with no problems. It was so smooth, in fact, we'd gladly take it again (convenient, too. It pulled up right in front of our street).
This embracing of other means of transit instead of our cars is evident in , which examines public transportation usage in Patch-served towns in this region.

The good news is Morristown has the lowest usage of personal automobiles at 62.9 percent. The bad news is: Well, that's still pretty high.
Which brings us to our "Question of the Day:" How often do you not use your car? Are you the greenest thumb in the land with the best-looking legs? Do you occasionally take advantage of Morristown's superior walkability? Or, do you prefer the total convenience of your auto? Chime in below.
