Switchblade, Fake Gun Found In Local Park: Morris Co. Park Police

Police made several arrests at the end of February, including for drugs and weapons.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ _ Morris County Park Police made several arrests in the county's parks at the end of February, including an arrest for a knife and a fake gun. You can read about those arrests, as written by police, in the blotter below:

-2/18: ARREST FOR WEAPONS/NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop in Jefferson Township. An investigation led to Ahmid Abdallah, age 28, of Eatontown, to be charged with Possession of an Imitation Handgun, Possession of a Switchblade Knife, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; and Abd Abdellatif, age 24, of Eatontown, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. They were both released with court dates pending.

-2/18: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers observed a suspicious person at the Morris County Library on Hanover Township. An investigation revealed Frank P. Sabo, age 66, of Millburn Township, to have a warrant for failure to appear in Mountainside Municipal Court. He was released with a court date pending.

-2/19: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed a suspicious occupied vehicle at Central Park in Parsippany. An investigation led to Gabriel L. DeJesus, age 18, of Newton, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was released with a court date pending.

-2/19: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Hanover Township. An investigation revealed Jason J. Shruby, age 36, of Morristown, to have a warrant for failure to appear in Morristown Municipal Court. He was transferred to the custody of the Morristown Police Department.

-2/19: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers were dispatched to the Mount Olive Township Police Department on a report of an individual in their custody, Germal A. Bynoe, age 28, of Hackettstown, who had a warrant for failure to appear in Dover Joint Municipal Court, stemming from charges filed by the Morris County Park Police Department. He was unable to post the required bail and was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.

-2/21: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Wharton. An investigation revealed Kevin L. Smith, age 53, of Newark, to have a warrant for failure to appear in New Providence Municipal Count. He was released with a new court date pending.
