MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — NJ Transit's Morris and Essex line rail service remains delayed in both directions, due to wire issues in Dover.

NJ Transit reported overhead wire issues at 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

As of right now, the Morris and Essex line rail service has a 30-minute delay, officials said.

It's not clear when service will resume to normal.

NJ Transit officials have said that rail tickets are currently being cross honored by NJ Transit bus and private carriers.

Last week, overhead wire problems also resulted in service suspensions and delays on NJ Transit's Morris & Essex lines, which required passengers to be rescued from stranded trains by members of the South Essex Fire Department and Maplewood police.
