Trump Flying Into Morristown For Another NJ Weekend

Leaving early for a summer Friday? His afternoon flight could affect your drive home.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — President Donald Trump is spending another weekend in Bedminster this weekend, and the timing of his flight could affect your early drive home from work.

Trump will spend the morning at a private luncheon in the Hamptons before landing in Morristown at 3:25 p.m. Ten minutes later he will leave by helicopter for Bedminster, and will arrive at the Trump National Golf Course at 3:45 p.m.

Residents should expect road closures on the roads directly surrounding the airport, and traffic on all major roads in the area. Although his public schedule shows him taking Marine Force One, a helicopter, from Morristown to Bedminster, he has driven if the weather is not safe for the helicopter.

Trump spent 11 days earlier this month at the Trump National Golf Course for his summer vacation. It was the second summer in a row he took his vacation in New Jersey, and the sixth time he came this year.

Generally, Trump tends to visit Bedminster during the summers, when his Palm Beach, Florida golf club is closed for the season.

Vice President Mike Pence also recently visited the area. Pence popped into the Florham Park Diner last Friday, diner owner Vicki Grapsas told Patch, and ordered a slice of cherry cheesecake and some chocolate chip cookies. He also took time to chat with patrons and employees, they said.
