The event will include art therapy activities, snacks, resources for community members, and a presentation by the MHA Mental Health Players.

ROCKAWAY, NJ — The Mental Health Association in northern New Jersey is inviting Morris County residents to an upcoming family fun day in Rockaway, which is focused on raising awareness of mental health resources.

The Morris County HOPE ONE van, Rockaway Township Police and Fire, and a local pickleball professional are among the local agencies and experts who will be offering resources and tips for mental health support, organizers said.

This event on Friday, May 10 at Rockaway Townsquare Mall will also include art therapy craft activities and a presentation by MHA's Mental Health Players. This long-running community education program is dedicated to combining "performance art and advocacy to increase awareness, decrease stigma and break the silence often associated with mental health" through scripted scenarios, improvised moments with the audience, and role-play.
