What do You Want to Change About Morristown?
The town is asking the public to give input on what Morristown should do moving forward

With all the residents out there, many have good ideas but need to be heard. Here's your chance. Morristown is hosting several events this upcoming week to get public input for the town's Master Plan project.
"Your continued participation and input is critical to the success of this Master Plan project for the Town of Morristown, so please join us for a series of events during the week of April 22," said Susan O'Donnell, who's working with others on MorristownMovingForward.com. O'Donnell lays out the details of the following week:
It all starts on Monday night (4/22), where we will build on the information we learned from MorristownMovingForward.com, from previous plans and studies, and at the January 26 launch event. This time, we will hone in on key focus areas and streets throughout town, including our wonderful residential neighborhoods; commercial areas around the Green and Train Station; and regional and local shopping districts along South Street, Speedwell Avenue, and Washington Street, among others. We will also pay particular attention to the town's abundant natural resources, open spaces, lakes, and waterways."
On Tuesday and Wednesday (4/23-24), we will set up a working studio in a storefront on the Green, as we continue to work through ideas and develop strategies in a fun, collaborative, and transparent setting. You can stop by and see how plans are progressing – we'll be at 18 N. Park Place – throughout the day.
On Thursday night (4/25), you'll have the opportunity to see all the work and ideas generated over the course of the week, and based on everyone's insights and efforts. We'll then prepare a draft plan for review by the Planning Board this summer.

Morristown Moving Forward is the name of the Morristown Planning Division's initiative to update the Town's Master Plan. The initiative was launched in January 2013 and is focusing on issues of transportation, land use, and neighborhood design – all with the goal of making Morristown New Jersey's most livable, sustainable, and welcoming community. It is being funded jointly by the Town of Morristown, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
