Free Expo In Newark Will Help Small Business Owners Connect With Resources

NEWARK, NJ — An upcoming free workshop in Newark will help local small business owners connect with resources to grow their companies.
The New Jersey Citizen Action Education Fund’s small business expo will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Hahnes Building (2nd floor atrium), 625 Broad Street. Parking is available in the Whole Foods underground parking garage on New Street (off of Broad Street).

According to organizers, small business owners will have a chance to connect with financial institutions, business resource providers, and technical assistance experts who can help secure affordable small business loans, products and services tailored to their needs.
Participating organizations will include: Bank of America, Citizens Bank, Industrial Bank, M&T Bank, PNC Bank, Santander Bank, TD Bank, Valley Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation, Rising Tide Capital, New Jersey Small Business Administration (NJSBA), SCORE Metro NJ and YWCA Northern New Jersey, and the WCEC Women’s Business Center.

“Small business owners have to wear many hats, and that can be challenging even at the best of times,” said Leila Amirhamzeh, director of community reinvestment for New Jersey Citizen Action.
“Our Expo is a golden opportunity for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Newark area to grow, connect, network, and access the vital tools they need for success, whether they have an established business or are looking to start one,” Amirhamzeh said.
