Kung Fu Tea Arrives In Newark Near Rutgers Campus
A ribbon cutting event is planned for the new store in downtown Newark on Friday.
NEWARK, NJ — A new Kung Fu Tea location has come to Newark.
The company – which bills itself as “America’s largest bubble tea brand,” has more than 350 locations across the United States.
A ribbon cutting event is planned for the recently opened store at 73 Halsey Street in downtown Newark on Friday at 5 p.m. Here’s what to expect, according to a news release:

“Attendees will be provided with samples of drinks from their large menu and music from local DJ Popido. Students with a student ID will receive 10% off their order. For Rutgers’s students, there will even be a special drink available at the event inspired by their mascot Scarlet Raiders.”
The Halsey Street location is the second location for owner Cindy Perez.
